French Press
Things you’ll need:
- French press
- Filtered water
- Burr Grinder
- Scale
- Mug or cup
- Yield Coffee (We suggest our Relational Blend for its slight citrus and strong chocolatey notes)
- Brew time: 4 minutes
- Coffee: 40 g
- Water: 600 ml
- Grind: coarse. See the coffee grind science guide here.
- Place 40 g of coffee in a French Press.
- Add 80 ml of 208° water.
- Stir coffee to saturate all the grounds with water and allow the coffee to bloom for 30 seconds.
- Add the remaining 520 ml of water and start a timer for 4 minutes.
- Place the top on the French Press.
- After 4 minutes, press down gently on the plunger and serve.
